Pleasant Hill Local Government Academy

Do you have an interest in local goLocal Government Academy Logovernment and how it functions? Are you a Pleasant Hill resident or City-licensed business owner or employee wanting to know more about the City of Pleasant Hill?

If you answered yes to the above questions, we invite you to join the 2021 Pleasant Hill Local Government Academy (formerly the Pleasant Hill Citizens Academy), and learn what makes our community special!

Through staff presentations and interactive activities, participants will learn about the various roles and responsibilities of each City Department; City Council decision making and the legislative process at the local level; opportunities to volunteer with City Commissions and Committees; and how the budget process works.

The next Local Government Academy will be held Thursdays from September 16 through October 21, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm. (This year's academy may be on Zoom due to changing health regulations; if on Zoom, participants will need access to a device with internet service, a camera, and a microphone to participate virtually.) 

Registration opens August 16, 2021 (a link will be posted here). There is no fee to participate!
