Storm Drain Pipe Slip Lining on Pleasant Hill Road

The City’s contractor, Kerex Engineering, completed slip lining of a damaged storm drain on Pleasant Hill Road near Jemco Court. The existing 18” diameter corrugated metal pipe (CMP) was missing the bottom section of pipe due to rust. EBMUD crews discovered this condition while installing a new water line on Pleasant Hill Road. The contractor pulled a new 12” diameter high-density-polyethylene (HDPE) pipe through the host pipe. This newly lined pipe will not leak and will safely convey storm water across Pleasant Hill Road. Contact Deirdre Castillo, P.E., Senior Civil Engineer, for additional information.
