District Based Election Process
The Pleasant Hill Community is invited to provide input at the next planning session regarding the City's proposed transition to district-based elections.
Following the April 17, 2023, public hearing, the City demographer prepared draft electoral division maps, which are available by clicking on the links below. The City held public hearings on May 1, May 6, and May 22, 2023, to discuss and gather feedback on the draft maps. An additional hearing has been scheduled for June 5, 2023. See the Public Hearing Notices section for information on the next public hearing.

NEXT STEPS
After the public hearing phase, the City Council will conduct a final public meeting and will take steps to adopt an Ordinance transitioning the City from an at-large to a by-district method of electing Members of the City Council, approving the establishment of electoral division map boundaries, and approving the sequence of future Council elections.
All public hearings will be conducted in the City Council Chamber, located at 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, California, 94523. Agendas will be posted in advance of the meetings in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act and can be viewed at www.pleasanthillca.org/agendas. Interested parties may subscribe to receive agenda notices at www.pleasanthillca.org/NotifyMe.
If you are aware of a community member needing this notice to be translated to a language other than English or, if in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, you need special assistance to participate in a City Council meeting, contact the City Clerk’s Office at (925) 671-5267 at least 72 hours before the meeting or time when such special services are needed. How to Enable Closed Captioning with Translations on Zoom
In order to participate in the City Council Zoom meetings in your own language, follow the instructions below:
Any participant in the meeting can self-enable captions.
1. Join the Zoom meeting. (Make sure you have version 5.11.9 or higher)
2. Click the Show Captions button. Captions will appear above the controls toolbar. By default,
English is set as the speaking language the captions are generated in. You can change your speaking language to those listed if you will be making comments in that language.
3. Next to the Show Captions button, click the up caret button .
4. Under the Translate to section of the menu, click on the language you want the written captions translated to.
Click the More option to see more available languages.
Once a different language is chosen, the captions will be generated and translated into that language for you.
Other participants can choose a language for their captions independently of your chosen language.
