On November 4, 2014, City of Pleasant Hill voters passed a ballot measure to change the City Clerk to an appointed position effective December 2016 when the current elected term ends.
City Clerk staff:
- Conduct City of Pleasant Hill elections
- Prepare the official minutes of City Council meetings
- Serve as the caretaker for the City Seal and official City records
- Serve as the Filing Officer under the Political Reform Act of 1974
- Monitor compliance with city/state campaign finance and conflict of interest laws
- Review the processing and completion of City ordinances, resolutions, contracts and agreements
- Administer Oaths of Office
