Overview

The City’s Development Section is responsible for the processing, review and approval of private development projects. This includes both residential and commercial land development and redevelopment construction.

Responsibilities

Staff is responsible for ensuring that maps are processed in conformance with the Subdivision Map Act, and required public improvements are constructed in accordance with applicable codes and city standards. This includes review of geotechnical, hydraulic and traffic studies, and preparation of applicable conditions of project approval, as well as construction inspection.
