Pleasant Hill is committed to supporting schools and education. The City is dedicated to focus on waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting programs and services for classrooms and school campuses.

Foundation for Pleasant Hill Education - The Green Team
The Green Team of FPHE focuses on interdisciplinary education with an emphasis on:

  • Organic gardens
  • Healthy food/nutrition locally sourced
  • Sustainability including reduce/reuse/recycle
  • STEM & Common Core; and
  • Next Generation Science Standards alignment covering K-12.
