Pleasant Hill Sewer Replacement Project - August 2023
CCWD
Kiki Drive & Aleta Drive Water Project Bi-weekly Update - September 1, 2023: Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) has started construction on a project to replace about 1,500 feet of aging underground water pipes and install new fire hydrants on Kiki Drive (west of Morello Avenue), Halten Court, Greyfell Place and Aleta Place. Access to Valhalla Elementary School, at the intersection of Morello Avenue and Kiki Drive, will remain open to allow for vehicles and pedestrians. The crews are scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Roadways will be restored for full-width access at the end of each work day and on weekends.
Renovation work in the streets will be completed using traditional open-cut construction. When construction is underway, there may be temporary changes in traffic patterns and limited access to driveways. Motorists are reminded to always observe all posted traffic controls and follow flaggers’ instructions. This project is currently scheduled for completion by November 2023.
This project is managed and funded by CCWD and constructed by Con-Quest Contractors, Inc. Additional information can be found on CCWD’s website at Neighborhood Pipes to be Upgraded. For questions or concerns, contact CCWD’s Public Information Specialist, Kathryn Horn at khorn@ccwater.com or (925) 688-8218 during regular business hours.
