The 2023 Intersection & Crosswalk Improvements Project is continuing to move forward. At its October 2, 2023, meeting, the Pleasant Hill City Council awarded the construction contract for this project to GradeTech, Inc. Construction begins this month, and the majority of the work is expected to be completed before the end of the year. The remainder of the work is planned to be fully completed in early 2024.
The new improvements afforded by this project will benefit the entire community, including school-based members. They will provide safety for pedestrians and bicyclists year-round by installing curb ramps, additional signage, new high-visibility crosswalks, flashing beacon systems, LED flashing stop signs, and speed humps.
Intersections to be improved include:
· Boyd Road and Patterson Boulevard
· Pleasant Hill Road and Paradise Lane
· Viking Drive and Ruth Drive
· Gregory Lane and Brandon Road
· Gladys Drive and Helen Road
· Viking Drive and Odin Drive
· Oak Park Boulevard and Wendell Lane
